Updates to the VESL mobile app should be downloaded automatically given the automatic updates setting is not disabled. Here are links to Google and Apple's documentation about this setting and how to manually download app updates. We recommend keeping automatic updates enabled.
The version number can be found in the VESL app by double tapping the form name at the top of the device. After double tapping a message will appear on the screen displaying the version number. You may compare this to the version number found in the Google Play and App Store listings. Here are images for reference:
